The choice of silicone hot stamping plate

The hardness of the silicone layer of the existing silicone hot stamping plate is above HS60, generally HS85±5. This is because if the hardness of the silicone layer is too low, it is easy to deform under high temperature and high pressure, so that the shear force of the plate on the anodized aluminum is not enough, thus affecting the hot stamping effect. Therefore, in general, the hardness of the selected silicone layer should be greater than HS80.

With the increase of the hardness of the silicone layer, the resilience of the silicone layer is generally affected by the shadow, and the resilience is directly related to the effect of hot stamping. , The bonding is not strong. There are phenomena such as burrs. Therefore, when choosing a silicone hot stamping plate, the resilience should be paid attention to.

In order to facilitate the installation of the silicone hot stamping plate on the electric heating plate, the base layer of the silicone hot stamping plate is generally selected from an aluminum plate with a thickness of 1-3mm. The bonding strength between the silicone layer and the aluminum plate is directly related to the service life of the silicone hot stamping plate. If the bonding strength between the silicone layer and the aluminum plate is not high enough, it is easy to crack under high temperature and high pressure. Therefore, a silicone hot stamping plate with higher bonding strength between the silicone layer and the aluminum plate should be selected.


Control of hot stamping process

1. Hot stamping temperature control

The traditional anodized aluminum hot stamping plate uses copper and zinc plates. Due to the high thermal conductivity of copper and zinc, the hot stamping temperature is generally 70-180 °C. Since the thermal conductivity of the silicone layer on the surface of the silicone hot stamping plate is low, the hot stamping temperature should be appropriately increased during hot stamping. Generally, the hot stamping temperature should be 30-50 °C higher than that of copper and zinc plates. Of course, the better the thermal conductivity of the silicone layer, the lower the hot stamping temperature can be adjusted, and the more energy consumption can be saved. Therefore, when choosing a silicone hot stamping plate, a silicone hot stamping plate with better thermal conductivity should also be selected.


2. Hot stamping pressure control

The surface of the silicone hot stamping plate uses a silica gel layer with lower hardness, which has a certain elasticity and is stronger than copper in the process of hot stamping. The zinc plate is easier to compact the anodized aluminum foil. Therefore, to obtain the same hot stamping effect under the same conditions, the pressure used by the silicone hot stamping plate is less.


3. Hot stamping speed control

Under the same conditions, the elastic silicone hot stamping plate can compact the anodized aluminum foil in a shorter time than the copper-zinc plate. Therefore, for the same effect of hot stamping, the hot stamping speed of the new silicone hot stamping plate is faster.

Of course, the settings of the above parameters are not static in actual operation, but should be selected and set according to the needs of the actual work, such as copper and zinc plates, uniform hot stamping pressure, lower hot stamping temperature And a slower hot stamping speed will produce a more ideal hot stamping effect, because the uniform hot stamping pressure makes the anodized aluminum better adhesion, the lower hot stamping temperature makes the anodized aluminum glossier, and the slower hot stamping The stamping speed is to accommodate lower stamping temperatures. In short, the silicone hot stamping plate for anodized aluminum hot stamping is a new type of hot stamping plate under development.
