How to use a variety of image processing Thank You Cards Custom With Logo software fonts

Note the use of text in Photoshop

First, the choice of font size

Try to use large font size of blackbody, medium circle, official script and other fonts, less use of song typeface, imitate song typeface and other thin strokes. The size is generally not less than 10pt size, the size is too small or the font is too thin if the text is eventually saved as TIF, then the text is as a dot matrix image, rather than a vector image. The edge of the final printed text will feel rough, which greatly affects the visual effect of the printed product. Of course, if some small characters are especially needed as embellishments, backgrounds, etc., in the design, not the body part does not need to be clear, you can not consider these factors.

If the text needs black, then this black should be set to K=100%, do not use Photoshop's default four-color black. (Note: In the production of airbrush, photo, because the final output form is printed, in order to prevent the black ink is not deep enough, you need to use Photoshop's default four-color black.)

Third, if black text is needed on the color base map or color gradient or color block, you need to change the mixing mode of the black text layer to "multiply", so that the C, M, and Y three-color version will not be hollow.

If you need color text such as M=60%, Y=100%, or grayscale text such as K=30%, do not use the multiply this mixing option, follow the normal option to do it.

Text layers in Photoshop are vectorized and can be zoomed in and out without compromising quality before merging layers. If you end up saving it in TIF format, the text layer no longer exists and the vector text becomes a bitmap. If you do not want to give up the vectorness of the text layer, you can save the vector data of the text and shape layer by saving the EPS file format.

Whether it is used in vector software or typesetting software, it is generally not recommended to use the WINDOWS system default typeface, blackface, official script and other fonts. If it is a MAC system, avoid using default fonts such as BeiJing. These fonts are used in different software, which is easy to cause the phenomenon of typesetting loss or text typesetting error. It is recommended to use Hanyi, Fang Zheng and other common character library.

Note on the use of text in CorelDraw

First, when producing printed matter, the text used in the CD, whether in the form of calligraphy or text box, the text color must be CMYK color, and PANTONE color can be used only when it is necessary to make spot colors.

Second, CD can directly do shadow, transparent and other effects on the text, but the visual effect of doing so is relatively blunt, and the effect is not as natural as that done in PS. If it is not necessary to use CD to do the effect, it is generally recommended to save the required text or image effect in PS as TIF, PSD and other image formats and then import the CD for use.

CD is vector software. This facilitates the choice of font and size, and there is no need to worry about the loss of the edge smoothness of the text, so the text can be very small and will not have much impact on the printing quality.

Of course, for the body part or mixed background color with anti-white characters, the font should use black font, medium (quasi-) round font, avoid the use of song, fine lines and other strokes are very fine font. Should also avoid the use of thick black, very thick song and other strokes are too crowded fonts, so as to avoid printing paste. The size selection also needs to be appropriately large, generally no less than 7 pound words. (8 pounds is number 6)

When designing and making CDS, you don't have to consider whether black is overprinted. Although the CD provides features such as "overprint fill" and "overprint outline", this is mainly used for color separation directly in the CD.

Fourth, in the CD, when all the text typesetting, design work is completed, before the final output, the text must be turned into a curve. If there are multiple pages, the curve must be turned on each page. [next]

Note on the use of text in Illustuator

AI, like CD, is vector software, so in general, the requirements for text are similar to CD, but for the overprinting of black text, it needs to be noted that the overprinting of black fill or outline in AI can be done in two ways, which need to be manually adjusted, similar to the practice in PS.

First, it can be done by "Multiply multiply" in the "Transparency" panel, which is the same principle as the multiply multiply in PS.

Second, through the "Attributes" panel "Overprint fill" to do, which is the same as the "overprint fill" in the CD.

After the typesetting production is completed in AI, it is also necessary to transfer all the text to the path (equivalent to the CD curve), unlike the CD, AI can be divided into many pages, but it can be made through the layer method, so when there are multiple layers, the text in each layer must be transferred to the path. The idea is the same as a CD transfer curve to avoid font incompatibility.

Note on the use of text in FreeHand

Overprinting in the use of FreeHand text is very important, because the overprinting method can avoid the problem of overprinting white edges caused by the overprinting is not allowed, especially the small black text, the general text is less than 14pt black text.

Select the text, open the image panel in the Properties panel, select Fill for the text block, and check the overprint option below.

In the use of Chinese fonts, do not use the font in bold, italic, bold italic, etc. Because in the actual output, the character with these fonts will appear paste or overlapping jagged phenomenon.

Once you have made an effect for the text, do not turn the text into a curve. Because after turning the curve, the text will lose its effect. At the same time, do not include empty text blocks or empty nodes in the same text block, otherwise the RIPI can not be interpreted normally.

The use of text in PageMaker

PageMaker is different from vector software in that it cannot transfer text to a path. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the font selection of the text, which should be the same as the font library used by the plate making company. If you must use some special fonts, when you copy the PageMaker file to the plate maker, make a copy of the special fonts used in the Pagemaker file on disk, and install the special fonts at the plate maker before opening the PM file.

In PageMaker, if you have multiple blocks of text grouped together, the text size does not scale regardless of how the group size changes. Especially when the group is shrunk, pay special attention to whether the text block loses text after the text block is shrunk.
