  1. Composition characteristics and scope of application

White cardboard is a more advanced type of whiteboard. White cardboard is a kind of rigid cardboard with large thickness and quantitative weight, so it is also called white cardboard, which is a more advanced variety of cardboard. Whiteboard paper is composed of surface layer, core layer and bottom layer. It has two series of single-sided and double-sided. Double-sided whiteboard paper is also called white cardboard. Generally, the surface layer and bottom layer of white cardboard are made of 100% bleached chemical wood pulp, or mixed with bleached rag pulp and bleached chemical straw pulp, and appropriate amount of filler, sizing material and brightener are added; the core of white cardboard is made of 100% bleached chemical wood pulp. The layer is manufactured using mechanical wood pulp or adding waste paper pulp, reed pulp, straw pulp, etc.

The surface layer and bottom layer of white cardboard are made of bleached chemical pulp, and have a certain proportion of fillers and sizing materials, and are calendered by multiple rollers, so the difference between the two sides is small, and the whiteness, smoothness and surface strength are high. , has a certain water resistance, small flexibility, moderate and uniform ink absorption.

White cardboard is used to print business cards, certificates, invitations, book covers, postcards, etc. It is also commonly used as back paper for hardcover books. It is also the base paper for the manufacture of aluminum cardboard and glass cardboard.

  2. Types and Specifications

White cardboard is divided into three grades: A, B, and C. In terms of quantitative, there are: 200g/m2, 220g/m2, 250g/m2, 270g/m2, 300g/m2, 400g/m2 and other varieties.

White cardboard is mainly flat paper in terms of specifications. The size of white cardboard is 880mm × 1230mm, 787mm × 1092mm, or produced according to the contract. The size error should not exceed ±3mm, and the skewness should not exceed 3mm.

According to the contract, we can produce cardboard of various colors. Except for the whiteness, the rest are assessed according to the technical requirements of white cardboard.

3. Technical requirements and parameters

The technical indicators of white cardboard must meet the requirements of Table 4-13. According to the industry standard QB/T3523-1999, white cardboard must also meet the following requirements:

①The cutting edge of the paper should be neat and clean.

②The fiber structure of the paper should be uniform and meet the pattern requirements specified in the order contract.

③The surface of the paper should be flat, and there should be no paper defects such as spots and streaks.

④The color of the paper should be the same, and there should be no significant difference between each batch of paper.

⑤ The factory with conditions can produce white cardboard with embossed pattern according to the order requirements. For white cardboard with special embossed pattern, the smoothness and whiteness are not checked.

⑥ Those who have the following conditions are classified as second-class products:

a. The smoothness is less than 20% of the standard;

b. Those whose stiffness is less than 20% of the standard.
