Kids Reading Books Layout Design three "Kung fu"

Every time we develop a website or design anything, we need to put some effort into the look. Behind every successful design is a successful layout. To go further, we need to know some basic information about layout structure.

Layout structure

Layout is something that allows the viewer to clearly and easily understand the message of a work, a clever arrangement of different elements on different media. Here are some of the basics of designing a great structure.

To build an excellent structure, you must look closely: Learn to look closely at "structures" around you, such as trees, flowers, mountains, beasts, pets, children, etc. Flip through magazines, books, flyers, etc., and try to understand how the graphics are constructed.

What color scheme was used? Why? What type of font is used? Why? What effect do they have on the picture? Why? "Why" is the key question and should be emphasized more.

After a lot of observation, you will learn what is good and what is bad. To enhance the effect of observation, you must make a mental picture of the elements and environment you want to express. This will aid in the design. It's a never-ending process.

Color sense

Many times, a good layout is spoiled by the wrong color scheme. In fact, the color scheme is a powerful weapon to sublimate a layout structure. If you use color carefully, you may get unexpected results.

The choice of color depends on "visual perception". For example, colors related to women are usually pink, mauve, bright blue or peach. Colors associated with children's themes are usually warm yellow, sky blue, orange yellow, red, baby green or bright purple. The colors for medical themes are sea green, emerald green, dark and shades of gray. Nature related themes, or special color schemes that are contrary to social traditions can use warm colors such as red, black, bright yellow, etc. The color scheme should vary according to the theme.

You can start by using one of the color books on the market, which offer different color schemes for different purposes.

font

After the color scheme, the perfect and appropriate expression of your thoughts is "font".

Fonts are divided into two categories: Serif fonts and Sans-Serif fonts. Serif fonts are made up of Times New Roman, Caslon, Caxton, Souvenir, etc. Sans-Serif fonts are composed of Helvetica, Zurich, Verdana, Arial, etc. Serif fonts are often used for headings and headlines, Sans-Serif fonts are often used for body text or repetitive information.

Using too many characters in a program can look confusing and confusing. You should only have a maximum of 3 fonts in a set of structures. One for headings, one for buttons and tokens, and one for text.

Fonts can say a lot. For example, use Futura Black or Compacta if you want to say "heavyweight champion" because they look "heavy" by themselves. On the other hand, if you want to express the "friction of feathers", then use very light Caxton Italic font to express the effect of feathers.

The main and most important part of structural planning is "alignment" and "balance". You need to be very clear about the weight of text, color, and images, or your layout will look lopsided when finished.

In some cases, a page can consist of more graphics and less text. In this case, you can mix the images, use abstract stitching, and fill in the fertile areas with text. In the beginning, we had to decide what to highlight, words or images. If you decide to focus on graphics, then the main section should be filled with graphics and the text will take up a relatively small space. If you want to highlight the text, use a large font for the title, then fill in the appropriate supporting pattern to complete your design and make it look balanced.
