Lid Top Boxes For Gifts. Consideration of digital Mosaic in prepress process

1. The basic process of digital Mosaic

1.1 Defining Large Attributes.

① Define the size, resolution and number of network cables of the large version;

② Define the number of pages and the arrangement of rows and columns on each major edition of the minor edition;

③ Set binding mode, printing mode and folding mode.

1.2 Define the attributes of the small version: the area of the small version, the position on the large version, the spacing of the small version, the surrounding boundary, the orientation of the small version (head to head, foot to foot), etc.

1.3 Define bleeding.

1.4 Page numbering order: Due to different binding methods, the page numbering order is also different.

1.5 Mark setting: including cutting, folding, registration, ridge mark, test strip size, position, etc.

2 Spell a large version to consider several elements

2.1 Different RIP Modes

① Large version before RIP

First of all, the page is spelled into a large version and then sent to RIP, which is the most commonly used way at present. It is characterized by first completing the typesetting and filling the blanks of each page, then carrying out the large-format operation of each page, and making the output file containing OPI(open prepress interface) instructions (used for the invocation of high and low resolution images when RIP is used), and finally sending the document to RIP for processing. The disadvantage is that you have to wait for the entire layout to be completed before you can RIP. Moreover, if you find errors in the layout, you have to go back to the original software and modify it before assembling and ripping. However, the interpretation of RIP is time-consuming, so the efficiency is relatively low.

② Big version after RIP

RIP the page first, this workflow simplifies the way the final file is modified. If it is found that a page contains a typographical error, just after correcting the error, the page will be re-rip once, replacing the original wrong page can be, which is much easier than redoing the entire large version of RIP, the disadvantage is that the file is generally large, and there are certain requirements for file transmission and storage. This way is the future development direction.

2.2 Different ways of making up

Folding is mainly used for samples, books, albums and other printed matter that need folding pages, its assembling process is more complex, and requires operators to have certain professional knowledge of printing and post-press processing. For example, printing paper size and gram weight, printing and folding methods.

Free spelling is mainly to save materials (film) for the purpose of its composition is relatively simple, mainly the different sizes of different files together, so that the effective use of the film area is maximum. However, it is also necessary to have a certain understanding of the printing method when assembling documents printed on the same machine.

2.3 Different printing methods

① Double-sided printing

Most sheets are printed on both sides. Double-sided printing is one way. Double-sided printing requires an operating device between the printing units to pull the printed sheet to the other side, while allowing the remaining units to print a second side. A press with a device to flip the sheet is called a double-sided press.

② Single-sided printing

Another way to print the second side is by processing the sheet. This means printing the other side after the first printing. The printer operator takes the sheet back and prints the other side.

There are three types of printing for a single - sided press: self - flipping, roll - flipping, and reverse printing. They differ in how the sheet is handled after the first side is printed.

* Self-destruct

Self-turning method means that the front and back of a printed product are on a printing plate, the long side of the paper is the mouth side, the first side is turned after printing, and the paper teeth remain motionless. This means that when on the second side, the printing press grabs the same paper mouth as the first side. After printing, cut in the middle of the paper to obtain two complete copies of the same print.

* Roll

Rollover is similar to self-rollover, except that after the first side of the sheet is printed, the paper does not flip, but rolls. This means that the paper mouth is not on the same side of the paper. Rollover has rarely been used, mainly for printing pieces that cannot be self-reproduced.

* Reverse printing

Reverse printing means printing the second side of a page with a different plate. For the flipflop layout, you need two separate plates - one for each side of printing.

2.4 Different Folding modes

Different folding methods mean different page distribution on the page, so we should consider how the folding method is after printing.

2.5 Other Factors

① Bleeding.

② Binding method. The application supports wireless binding, riding stitching and other common binding methods.

User - defined margins and stitching. When the correct reading of a book or document is limited, the white space between two pages must be defined.

Stacking these Spaces helps to accommodate plate arrangements such as crawling, bottlenecks, and the placement of scattered pages on the marking chart.

③ Crawl and move. Creep varies according to paper thickness. It is possible for each live piece to have different crawling characteristics. The operator types the paper and the application adjusts automatically.

④ bottle type state. Bottle status means that the paper is not square after being folded. The shape of the bottle changes with the way it is folded and bound. Ensure that the application allows different input variations to achieve the minimum bottle state.

⑤ Cutting, folding, registration, spine mark, test strip size and placement.
