1. For Hardcover books with more than 5 prints in 32-format coated paper, the perfect binding production process cannot be used. Even if the special hot-melt adhesive for coated paper is used, its bonding strength may be sufficient. However, the finished book on 32-format coated paper or more , a stack of pages is as strong as cardboard, and the adhesive layer on the back of the Hardcover Books is easily broken and the adhesive mouth is torn.
2. For Hardcover Books with very thick backs, the production process of wireless perfect binding cannot be used, and the middle of the book block cannot be opened; the concave center of the back of the book is deformed, forming an inverted round; the half-folding strength of the glue in the middle of the book block is poor, and it is very easy to open the glue.
3. For non-long-term preservation reference books such as journals and teaching materials, the wireless perfect binding production process may not be used, which is costly and low in production efficiency.
4. The backs of the students’ textbooks are thin and have a short service life, so the adhesive binding process can be used; for reference books or books with collection and preservation value, the hardcover process must be used, and the adhesive binding process must not be used, because the hot melt adhesive is affected by the binding process. Due to the influence of factors such as the preservation environment, generally more than 3 years of aging, it is easy to degumming or break.
