Tear Open Display Boxes Six reasons why the color of the actual samples is inconsistent
Color management software typically includes printer ICC files and printed ICC files. The ICC file benchmark for the printer used by different color management software is different, so the ICC file is not common for printers across software.
Printed ICC files are obtained by measuring the printed color meter with a spectrophotometer (different spectrophotometers use different color meters). All color management software can use the same printed ICC file. However, different printing houses use different PS plates, different papers, different inks, different printing presses, different printing conditions and so on, resulting in certain differences in the information of printed ICC documents. Therefore, the printed ICC documents in China will change with different printing houses.
Actual production color inconsistency of 6 reasons
After establishing the conversion relationship between ICC Profile and printed ICC Profile through digital proofing color management software, the matching of proofing results and printing results is realized from the design idea of the color management software, that is, the consistency of proofing colors and printing colors is realized. However, in the actual production process, it can not fully meet all the requirements of color
consistency, the reasons are analyzed as follows:
1. The ICC Profile test blocks can only divide the color space equally in a limited way, and the intermediate colors can only be simulated by the software. Meanwhile, the color control of the device by the color management software can only be carried out through a limited number of points, so there is no absolute guarantee of no color difference.
2. The spectroscopic characteristics of the proofing ink are inconsistent with those of the printing ink, and the spectrophotometer is only to read the chroma value under the standard light source, and the value cannot be guaranteed to be consistent under any light source.
3. There are certain differences in the stability and uniformity of the inking of the printing proofs for reference, and the samples will have some color drift.
4. The stability of the proofing system itself, the error of the measuring instrument and the environment will affect the consistency of the color.
5. The color of the same sample is inconsistent under different lighting environment, observation Angle, background color and other conditions.
6. The subjective feeling of the observer will cause the inconsistency of color perception.
Now, color management software and specialized ICC production packages, through different approaches (such as curve adjustment, individual color adjustment) can basically solve the above problems, reduce the color error, to meet the actual production needs of different.
