The basic composition of self-adhesive printing materials. It is mainly composed of surface printing layer, adhesive layer and stripping layer. Self-adhesive materials, also known as self-adhesive materials, pressure-sensitive materials or post-it notes, are the basic materials for label printing, mainly used for packaging and decoration printing. Self-adhesive materials can be divided into self-adhesive printing materials, decorative materials, sealing materials and special materials according to their different uses. Here, self-adhesive printing materials are mainly introduced.

The following surface printing layer, peel layer and adhesive layer can be combined in a variety of ways to make different properties and specifications of self-adhesive printing materials, users can make reasonable selection according to product requirements.

1. Peel off layers

The surface of the paper or film substrate is coated with silicone oil to prevent the adhesive from sticking to the peel layer substrate, but also to ensure that there is a certain viscosity between the surface printing layer and the peel substrate layer, so as to facilitate printing and die cutting.

The substrate of the stripping layer has two kinds: paper substrate and film substrate.

① Paper substrate. There are two types of paper base material, translucent paper and laminated kraft paper. Most of them use translucent paper. Laminated kraft paper is only used as the base paper such as seal strip.

② Thin film substrate. This kind of substrate belongs to the advanced substrate, has good dimensional stability and light resistance, mainly polyester film type and polypropylene film type. This substrate because of its high price, it is limited to high-grade products with labels.

2. Adhesive layer

The adhesive layer is closely related to the performance and use range of self-adhesive printing materials, and is one of the important performance indexes of self-adhesive printing materials.

There are three types of adhesive: rubber, resin and mixed.

The main performance indicators of the adhesive are as follows:

Coating thickness: 0.02 ± 0.005mm;

Viscosity (25 ℃) :6 ± 0.5 Pa? s ;

Solid content: (30 ~ 33) %;

180° peeling strength: ≥1000g/ 2.5 cm (10cm/min).

Use should be based on the use and performance parameters to make a reasonable choice.

3. Surface printing layer

Surface printing layer materials generally have the following two kinds, that is, paper-based printing layer and film printing layer.

(1) Paper-based printing layer. Paper-based printing layer is used more offset paper, coated paper, colored light paper and fluorescent paper, aluminum foil and other special paper. The requirements for paper-based printing layer should conform to the relevant national standards.

(2) film printing layer. Film printing layers include the following types.

① Transparent film. Transparent film is divided into composite film and printing film.

Composite film. Mainly polypropylene film (PP), polyethylene film (PE) and polyvinyl chloride film (PVC) and so on. Film for printing. Mainly polyester film (PET), polyethylene film (PE) and polyvinyl chloride film (PVC) and so on.

② Translucent film. Including polyester film (PET) and polyethylene film (PE) and so on.

③ Opaque film. There are mainly gold polyester film and silver polyester film.

④ Color film. Polyvinyl chloride film is commonly used.

⑤ Special film.
