In WordXP, when designing the binding line of the test paper, many teachers insert a text box on the left side of the test paper, and change the direction of the text in it, and then input the content of the binding line, and finally insert the vertical line. The paper template generated by this method is only suitable for single-side printing papers, and for double-side printing papers, this method can not achieve accurate alignment of the front and back binding lines, even through manual adjustment, it is awkward. So is there an easier way to do it? In fact, as long as we cleverly set the footer and header in the parity page, we can easily achieve it. Here are the steps to implement this method.

1. Run WordXP, execute the "File/New" command, and select the "template" option to create a test paper template.

2. In the template file, execute "File/page Setup". In the "paper type" TAB page, set the size of the test paper to 8-open paper. In the "Format" TAB page, select the option "Different even pages" in the "header and footer".

3. On the menu bar, run the "View/Header and Footer" command in sequence. Then the interface will automatically switch to the edit state of the header and footer.

4. Move the mouse pointer to the left side of the page and click the "Insert/Text field" command to insert a text field in the editing area (make sure the text field has no edges).

5. Change the direction of the text, so that after r1e1tk input the content that needs to appear within the binding line. After input, insert the vertical dotted line and close the header and footer to complete the design of the front binding line.

6. Run the "Insert/separator" command in the menu bar, and select the "page break" option in the following screen, so that you can set the binding lines of even pages.

7. Similarly, according to the design method 3~5, to complete the design of the reverse binding line of the paper.

8. Click the "File" menu item and execute the "Save" command from the drop-down menu to save the newly created test template. Remove the second page from the template, save the template again, and WordXP will only open a blank document when it is called to pull out the test paper.

At this point, we have completed the design task of double-sided printed paper binding line. If the design of the paper is printed out, and found that the two sides of the binding line is not aligned, you can carefully adjust the position of the text box and vertical dotted line, until completely aligned.
