2 Method of file precheck

 

1) Conventional methods
First of all, see whether the software used for the manuscript is suitable for printing and publishing, and then open the file with the original software, and check through the function of the software itself. If there are errors in the above content, correct them.

3 Main contents of file precheck

The main items of document precheck are page size, bleeding, text content, image format, image link, color pattern, font, special effect application and overprint, trap and other printing factors to be considered. It can be roughly classified as follows:

 

1) Image category

① Whether the picture is covered, cut, invisible or has abnormal display;

② Whether the format of the embedded graph is correct and whether it is compressed;

(3) Whether there are images in RGB format;

(4) There is no link to the original picture, whether the link is correct;

(5) Whether the sizes of EPS and TIFF maps are normal;

⑥ Whether the embedded graph has been rotated, scaled, cut or complicated post effect.

 

2) Font class

① Whether to convert to Out line, whether to lack fonts;

② Whether there are garbled characters;

③ Whether the PostScript Font is complete with Screen Font and Printer Font;

(4) Whether the text arrangement is consistent with the design;

⑤ Whether the text is shifted.

 

3) Color category

① Whether the filled color exists RGB color;

(2) Whether there is spot color;

③ Whether spot color should be converted into printing color;

(4) Whether there is no need to use but defined color;

⑤ Whether the processing of gradual change can meet the requirements.

① Whether the positive size of the finished product is consistent with the size indicated on the project sheet;

4 Software Output Trap

 

1)PhotoShop
(1) After editing the picture, remove the unused Channel without modification;

2)Illustrator

④ In IIIustrator files, it is necessary to clarify whether to typeset or to typeset in real terms: Illustrator 8.0 only prints the range of valid images in the page, and does not print the blank space. If not specially set, the software will print the file size will be different from the customer defined page size. For example, an A4 size page only contains a 100 mm×l00 mm image, and the printed finished document is only 100 mm×l00 mm in size. There are two ways to solve this problem:

a) Add a border with the same size as the page, and set the color to colorless. The software considers the colorless border as the valid content, and then prints the file at the normal size. Since the border is colorless, the normal image content will not be affected.

b) Adjust when printing PS file. In "Color separation Settings", the setting of "boundary", including left, right, top and bottom, ensure that "right to left = file width, top to bottom = file height". 3)CorelDraw

(12) Do not fill blocks or lines with RGB colors;
