Application of chroma measurement in Cigarette Drawer Box Packaging printing industry
At present, in the printing industry, there is a great deal of interest in the use of colorimeters or spectrophotometers for measurement. Because practice has proved that, although density measurement is very important, but for the printing industry, density measurement is not enough. In the past, due to the limitation of measuring instruments, density measurement has been the most commonly used form of measurement in the printing industry. Now with the gradual promotion of chroma measuring instruments, people have begun to focus on chroma measuring technology. Chroma measurement has been used in printing process control, such as the control of ink layer thickness.
In the printing industry, the study of chroma measurement is beneficial for understanding color processing, product and instrument design, and there are obvious advantages to chroma measurement.
At present, the application of chroma measurement in the printing industry mainly manifests in the following aspects.
① The quality control of raw materials, especially the control of ink and paper, has become routine work in some printing plants. The measurement of paper whiteness by spectrophotometric data is very valuable.
(2) Develop the exact specification of ink and paper standards.
③ The analysis and measurement of gray balance, the best stage copy and color calibration according to different ink, paper and printing conditions.
(4) Analyze the matching between the color of the proofing proofs and the printing paper, and analyze the chroma characteristics of the pigments used in the pre-proofing process.
⑤ Analysis of a set of ink reproduction color gamut and different sets of ink reproduction color gamut.
⑥ Analyze the relationship between the original manuscript and the copied image.
The use of chroma measurement standards, improve the degree of standardized production, in order to save materials, reduce errors, improve the quality of products.
⑧ printing color quality control.
⑨ Analyze the composition of pigments matching spot colors.
⑩ Precision calibration on color separation equipment and control color reproduction on printing presses.
In the printing industry, color measurement is an extension of the function of the eye, but it will never replace the eye, because only the eye has the function of subjective judgment. But the instrument can produce quantitative data, and it can be placed anywhere it can, such as on a printing press.
