In the field of Greeting Cards printing, color printing has become the mainstream of printing, and the quality of printed matter is also improving day by day. However, due to the influence of subjective and objective factors, there are not many high-quality products, which cannot be compared with foreign high-quality products. We know that the quality of color prints is restricted by many factors in the reproduction process, such as the tone level of the color original image, dot expansion value, color balance, etc., and the quality of the pre-press image production directly determines the color print. Although some deficiencies can be partially corrected during plate-making and printing, there is basically nothing that can be done to print high-quality products. Therefore, when making images before printing, if you find that the quality of the original is insufficient, you should find a way to correct it. In the following, some processing techniques and methods are briefly introduced.
(1) Original color cast
Generally, it is divided into overall color cast, low-key color cast, high-key color cast, and high and low-key color casts with different colors (ie, cross color cast). Therefore, when correcting, it is necessary to look at the overall consideration, and it is not possible to deal with a color immediately after seeing a color cast, otherwise it will cause other color casts.
(2) Original density
The difference between the maximum and minimum density in the original (that is, the contrast), the maximum density that can be reached in general prints today is 1.8, the maximum density of printing paper images is 1.7, and the black ink density of the trimmed original is 1.8. Generally speaking, all the densities of the original can only be reproduced in the range of 0~1.8 on white paper. Therefore, for the original, there is a density range suitable for lithographic printing. When the density range of the original is too large, the sensitivity of the scanner and the electrical extension to the part beyond the density range decreases, so the level of the color separation plate is relatively flat. According to practice, the original is 0.3~2.1, that is, when the contrast is 1.8, it is most suitable. The density difference of the original color negative film should be controlled within 2.4; if the contrast of the original is less than 2.5, reasonable compression should be carried out during copying, and the effect will be ideal. Poor.
(3) Manuscript level
There are three main indicators to measure the quality of replicas: level, color and clarity, and level is the most important. The level of the normal manuscript should have the characteristics of the picture is not bright and dark, high, medium and low-key, the density change has many series, and the tone is rich.
